Geological fluid
Magmatic-hydrothermal fluid
Also known as Magmatic fluid
An aqueous fluid exsolved from a crystallising magma, carrying water, metals, sulfur and other volatiles away from it. Whether it exists as one supercritical phase or separates into brine and vapour depends on pressure, and that difference changes what it can carry.
