About

An Earth science platform built on evidence

Lithoen exists to make how the Earth works understandable — and to be trustworthy about the difference between what is measured, what is inferred, and what is still unknown.

What Lithoen studies

The planet’s deep structure and the plate-tectonic engine that reshapes its surface; the rocks and minerals that record its history; geological time and the standards that define it; and, over time, the geological systems that concentrate resources and energy. The public site grows outward from a small, rigorously sourced core rather than from mass-produced pages.

How it is built

The canonical record is structured data, not prose: entities, typed relationships, and independent scientific claims, each citing locatable evidence in a registered, tiered source. Articles are written on top of that record and cite the claims they rest on. Machine validation runs before anything is published — broken references, missing units, unsupported statuses or weak sourcing fail the build. The full epistemic model is public.

Scientific independence

Lithoen’s scientific outputs must always remain capable of concluding that a hypothesis — including a commercially attractive one — is unsupported. Negative results are preserved, corrections are recorded rather than silently applied, and superseded claims remain on the record. Nothing published here is exploration or investment advice.
