Material

Vanadium pentoxide

Also known as V2O5

A refined vanadium compound. The Geological Survey of Finland reports it as the product of the vanadium plant at Otanmäki and states that, for the economy of the mine, it was the main product for most of the mine's life — although the ore was mined and the plant fed for its iron and titanium tonnages.

What Lithoen records

Each claim states how it is known and cites its evidence.

EstablishedNOT_COMPARABLE. Requirements evaluable: 0 of 6 for the chemically pure grade, 0 of 6 for the high purity grade. Reasons: no assay of the chain's product exists in this corpus; its physical form and particle size are unstated; the specifications are a different company's 2026 product grades and the plant closed in 1985.

Derived by Lithoen

Whether the vanadium pentoxide this chain reaches would meet either producer grade CANNOT BE COMPARED. The specifications require six measured properties between them; this corpus holds none of them for the Otanmäki product. The Finnish volume reports a product name and life-of-mine tonnages, and no assay of anything.

Not stated verbatim by the source — derived: requirements known = 6 AND product properties measured in corpus = 0 -> NOT_COMPARABLE

A comparison needs both sides on the same basis. One side is fully stated and the other is empty, so the result is not a pass, not a failure, and not unknown-because-nobody-looked: it is not comparable, and saying so is the finding.

EstablishedAligned: the compound V2O5. NOT aligned and not claimed: product form (the Finnish source states none; the specifications state orange powder at a stated size), grade, particle size, assay, producer, or date — the plant closed in 1985 and the data sheets are dated 2026.

Derived by Lithoen

The material this chain produces and the material these specifications govern are the same compound, and the match rests on that and nothing else. The Finnish survey volume names the Otanmäki vanadium plant's product as vanadium pentoxide; the producer's data sheets name their material as Vanadium Pentoxide, formula V2O5. The join is at COMPOUND identity — not the element vanadium, not the commodity, not a similar name, not a matching purity figure, and not a shared producer, since the two have nothing to do with one another.

Not stated verbatim by the source — derived: output material = vanadium pentoxide AND specification material = vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) -> compound identity aligned

Neither source mentions the other, so the alignment is Lithoen's and is recorded as derived rather than reported. It is deliberately the weakest join that is still a join: the shared term is a compound with a formula, stated by both sides in their own words, which is what separates it from a shared element, a shared commodity or a shared name.
