Reported for this deposit
A property of a dataset or model, shown here for context — not an observation about this record.
The same survey volume describes two Fennoscandian titanium-bearing oxide systems whose ilmenite sits in opposite textural states, with opposite consequences it states for each. At Tellnes hematite is exsolved WITHIN the ilmenite grains, and the volume gives that as a reason the standard concentrate carries 44 to 45 per cent TiO2 against 52.8 per cent for stoichiometric ilmenite. At Otanmäki recrystallisation left ilmenite and magnetite as DISCRETE, SEPARATE grains, which the volume calls a significant advantage in processing. The mineral name is the same in both; what it does in a plant is not.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- generality: DATASET_PROPERTY
- definition basis: Two statements the same volume makes about two named deposits, set side by side. Neither consequence is inferred here; both are printed.
- assumption: This is a contrast between two named systems, not a rule about ilmenite. It does not say which texture is preferable — that depends on the route, and at Tellnes the volume says the intergrowth suits the sulphate route.
