Establishedrecognised as a tungsten skarn deposit in a peer-reviewed study
Reported for this deposit
Lithoen records Tabuaço as a deposit because a peer-reviewed study of its geology, texture, ore genesis and processing treats it as one, describing two skarn facies, their mineral assemblages and the ore's scheelite.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- definition basis: Treatment as a named deposit with described facies and assemblages.
- locality: Tabuaço, Central Iberian Zone, northern Portugal.
- assumption: Recognition is a geological judgement and says nothing about economics.

Lithoen holds no coordinate for Tabuaço. The study locates it within the Central Iberian Zone at the northern margin of the Beira-Tabuaço granitic complex and by regional maps, which is not a coordinate.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- definition basis: What the source provides: a named zone, a named complex and maps.
- locality: Tabuaço, Central Iberian Zone, northern Portugal.
- assumption: A limit of this source and this corpus.

Establishedtwo exoskarn facies on a schisto-calcareous host, with vesuvianite, feldspars and fluorite dominant
Reported for this deposit
Tabuaço is hosted in Cambrian Douro Group metasediments at the northern margin of the Beira-Tabuaço granitic complex, where contact metamorphism of the schisto-calcareous Lower Cambrian Bateiras Formation and subsequent skarnification produced scheelite. Two exoskarn facies are distinguished, a Lower Skarn and a Main Skarn, the latter composed mainly of vesuvianite, feldspars and fluorite with zoisite, grossular, fluorapatite and scheelite also present.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- definition basis: Host formation and mineral assemblages as reported in the study.
- locality: Tabuaço, Central Iberian Zone, northern Portugal.
- assumption: An assemblage is not a grade and not a resource statement.

Open question
Reported for this deposit
Lithoen holds no mineral-system interpretation for Tabuaço. The study describes a contact-metamorphic and metasomatic skarn system around a granitic complex, but this corpus holds no mineral-system entity for tungsten skarns.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- definition basis: The absence of a matching mineral-system entity in this corpus.
- locality: Tabuaço, Central Iberian Zone, northern Portugal.
- assumption: A statement about coverage, not about knowledge.

Establishedliberation mesh about 150 micrometres, about 120 in the Lower Skarn, set by scheelite grain size
Reported for this deposit
The study derives a processing requirement from Tabuaço's texture and says so. All observed scheelite is finely disseminated in anhedral crystals — 5 to 300 micrometres in the Main Skarn, below 150 micrometres in the Lower Skarn — and the study states that THESE VALUES ARE CONSIDERED AS THE LIBERATION MESH REQUIRED FOR AN EFFICIENT ORE SEPARATION PROCESS, giving an average of 150 micrometres with the Lower Skarn slightly finer at about 120, and calling consideration of that mesh primordial for optimising the grinding steps. It further reports the scheelite closely associated with vesuvianite, the assemblage's main calcium-bearing silicate.
- assertion basis: SOURCE_REPORTED
- definition basis: A processing requirement stated BY the study from its own textural measurements, not inferred here from a mineral name.
- locality: Tabuaço, Central Iberian Zone, northern Portugal.
- assumption: A liberation mesh is a grinding requirement. It is not a recovery, not a concentrate grade and not evidence that any plant exists or has ever run on this ore.
