What Lithoen records

Each claim states how it is known and cites its evidence.

EstablishedAluminium-alloy matrix reinforced mostly with ceramic phases such as SiC and Al2O3.

Aluminium-matrix composites generally use aluminium alloys such as Al–Si, Al–Cu and Al–Si–Mg as matrices, reinforced mostly with ceramic and related phases including silicon carbide, alumina, carbon, boron, boron carbide, aluminium nitride, silica and boron nitride; silicon carbide, alumina, titania and graphite are named as the reinforcements of stir-cast aluminium composites.
