Also known as aluminum honeycomb

Honeycomb core made from aluminium foil, with a high strength-to-weight ratio and energy absorption. It cannot be paired with carbon fibre face sheets, which make it corrode.

What Lithoen records

Each claim states how it is known and cites its evidence.

EstablishedBest strength-to-weight honeycomb; incompatible with carbon face sheets.

Aluminium honeycomb has the best strength-to-weight ratio and energy absorption of the honeycomb cores, good heat transfer and electromagnetic shielding, smooth thin cell walls and machinability; it cannot be used under carbon fibre face sheets, which make it corrode.
